For years, running felt like punishment. The burning lungs, the aching legs, the endless miles I avoided it at all costs. It was something I dreaded, not something I embraced. But life has a way of changing our perspective. Somewhere along the way, running stopped being about speed or distance and started becoming about release.
Now, every run is therapy. It’s where I clear my mind, process my thoughts, and reconnect with myself. The rhythm of my footsteps has become a meditation, the sweat a reminder of resilience, and the finish line a symbol of strength. What I once hated has turned into the very thing that heals me.
Running taught me that sometimes the things we resist most can become the things we need most. It’s not just exercise anymore it’s my sanctuary, my reset button, my way of finding balance in a chaotic world.
